Crime Lab Accreditation
Announcing Receipt of Crime Lab Accreditation from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Armstrong is pleased to announce the laboratory has received Accreditation with the State of Texas Department
of Public Safety Crime Laboratory Service to perform criminal casework related to fire debris, controlled substances and analysis of unknowns.
This accreditation is based on Armstrong's successful completion of ASCLD/LAB-International Accreditation application and site assessment.
Criminal casework related to fire debris, controlled substances and analysis of unknowns have been added to Armstrong's already extensive list of services.
Forensic Science Award
In February 2007, Dr. Andrew T. Armstrong received the Forensic Science Award from the Forensic Science Committee of ASTM International (American Society for Testing and Materials).
This award is in recognition of technical and administrative contributions to ASTM International Committee E30, which is responsible for standards development in the Forensic Sciences.
Client Representatives
Armstrong has established and assigned a Client Representative for our Clients.
These Client Reps will be contacting each current Client and introducing themselves and the new capabilities of Armstrong Forensic Laboratory, Inc.
Foreign Soil
The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture has defined soil from parts of the U.S. and some other countries as 'foreign'.
This is a measure to prevent the spread of pests & diseases.
Thus, samples containing soil from parts of the US must have special handling.
TxDSHS Mold Regulations
Armstrong participated in the development of regulations related to the inspection, assessment and remediation of indoor mold in Texas.
These rules require individuals working in the field to be licensed by Texas Department of State Health Services (TxDSHS).
Armstrong is licensed both as a mold testing laboratory and staff as mold investigators.
