Are you accredited?
Armstrong is certified by an accreditation agency and listed as an Accredited Testing Laboratory on the CPSC website: www.cpsc.gov/cgi-bin/labapplist.aspx
How fast can I have my Certificate of Conformity?
You can create a certificate as soon as your results are complete. Provide Armstrong with the manufacturing specifics and we will assist you in creating your certificate at no additional cost.
If I make multiple units of the same thing, do I have to have every single product tested?
No. If your products need to be tested and they are materially identical and made in the same fashion with no change in assembly, equipment used, etc., then a single sample may be all that is necessary for testing purposes. A change in materials or design can be enough to alter testing results.
Does the packaging of the product have to comply with the phthalates ban?
Packaging is generally not intended for use by children when they play, given that most packaging is discarded and is not used or played with as children's toy or child care article. However, if the packaging is intended to be reused, such as a heavy-gauge plastic bag used to hold blocks, it would then be subject to the phthalates ban.
