Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)

The necessity of making our homes and offices more energy efficient has resulted in limiting the air exchange in our indoor environment.  This has the potential for degrading the air quality in our living spaces.

Mold
Even though mold is a natural part of our environment, it flourishes when the air is stagnant and moist.  Many people find they are allergic to mold and the toxins it can produce.  Texas requires mold inspections be done by licensed inspectors and the analyses be completed by licensed laboratories.  This is to ensure quality work for your home or business.  Armstrong actively participated in the review and comment of the Texas Mold Assessment and Remediation Rules.  In Texas, licenses are provided by the Texas Department of State Health Services.  Armstrong's mold assessors hold licenses from the State and Armstrong is a licensed mold laboratory.

Chemical Exposure
Indoor Air Quality is not limited to mold and allergens.  The release of toxic vapors from rugs, carpets, wall coverings and even furniture, has the potential for serious injury to those experiencing prolonged exposure or who have compromised immune systems.  Armstrong's Certified Industrial Hygienist and Registered Sanitarian are trained to evaluate the potential for harm whether from naturally occurring allergens or chemical exposure.
